MAY IS NATIONAL NURSES MONTH

The American Nurses Association has kicked off its annual month-long celebration offering opportunities to promote understanding and appreciation of the invaluable contributions of nurses. The role of nurses in health care is unparalleled, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

National Nurses Week is May 6 – 12

Every year from May 6th to 12th, nurses are recognized for their service and dedication to caring for others and improving the health of patients nationwide through National Nurses Week. ICLAC thanks public health nurses and all nurses providing support for immunization improvements.

ICLAC would like to give special thanks to our school nurses who are involved in the promotion of vaccines throughout our school districts, as they provide health education to students and families and are responsible for vaccine surveillance.
