Community Spotlight
Last year, Unity created the 3Cs course to help train healthcare providers can deliver CONFIDENT, CONCISE, and CONSISTENT vaccine recommendations for adolescents. Unity has redeveloped their course to include updated video scenarios and demonstrations alongside a new course format allowing users a free, easy-to-use, self-paced way to learn more about providing confident, concise, and consistent vaccine recommendations. Users will earn a certificate of completion upon completion. Click here to learn more!
Our colleagues at UC San Diego and San Diego State University are conducting a survey with clinical office staff (Licensed Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Medical Assistants) in California pediatric/family practice settings about their experience with and beliefs about childhood immunizations, including the HPV vaccine. This important study will identify opportunities to improve HPV vaccination rates statewide.

CA BAP COVID-19 Vaccine Ordering Now Open
The California Bridge Access Program (CA BAP) offers free COVID-19 vaccines to uninsured and underinsured adults 19+ during the 2024-2025 respiratory season.
Provider participation, eligibility, and requirements remain unchanged. Agreements are automatically extended—no action is needed.

CDC Health Update: Mpox Prevention Strategies
CDC Health Update (September 23, 2024) on Prevention Strategies for Mpox, including Vaccinating People at Risk via Sexual Exposure, for U.S. Travelers Visiting Countries with Clade I Mpox Outbreaks offers guidance on vaccinating individuals at risk via sexual exposure while visiting countries with Clade I Mpox outbreaks. It includes updated vaccine recommendations for those anticipating sexual activity, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, in affected regions of Africa.
